Rhumbix’s mobile app for GCs and subs digitizes and standardizes field data related to time and attendance, production tracking and benchmarking, daily reporting, fieldwork orders, QA/QC inspections, and health and safety reporting. The iPhone or iPad app eliminates lost tags, allows for real-time tag generation and submission, and approval by the GC. Features include customizable T&M form, auto-generated email to sub and the GC on submission, GC commenting ability on all sub-generated tags, and signature and verification on sub tags.

The HoloLens OS update (RS4) increases the size of Autodesk® Revit® and Navisworks® files that BIM Holoview processes for viewing more building services and larger areas. Other features of BIM Holoview include accurate positioning of models to within 2cm for visual verification of the exact placement of structural elements and services, and transparency mode that allows the layers of a building and hidden structure and services to be visualized.
Partnerships & Acquisitions
Procore Technologies and Sage are strengthening the current Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate (CRE) integration. Procore, along with joint development partner hh2 Cloud Services, are in beta testing with Prime Contracts and Prime Contract Change Orders. New features will round out the current integration feature set, which includes Cost Types, Estimates and Subcontracts, which sync Procore Construction Financials tools with Sage 300 CRE to provide project and accounting teams access to the data for collaboration and efficiency. The companies plan integration between Procore and Sage 100 Contractor.
UK laser scanning and monitoring companies’ 3D Laser Mapping and GeoSLAM have merged. 3D Laser Mapping helps its customers to capture and understand their world in 3D. GeoSLAM 3D hand held mobile mapping technology solutions provide accurate 3D mobile mapping without the need for GPS.
Chaney Enterprises, a ready-mix concrete, aggregates, custom blends and related construction supplies provider, has partnered with CarbonCure Technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of Chaney’s concrete products. The CarbonCure Technology at Chaney’s Green-Star Certified Waldorf concrete plant injects recycled carbon dioxide (CO2) into ready mix concrete during mixing. Once introduced to the mix, the CO2 becomes chemically transformed into a mineral and permanently embedded within the concrete. The process improves the concrete’s compressive strength, enabling Chaney to reduce its cement content while maintaining compressive strength requirements.
TrueLook has integrated its construction jobsite camera photo interface with Autodesk BIM 360 so Autodesk users can view, store and share jobsite photos with contacts or within their Autodesk projects. The integration automatically collects and stores TrueLook’s photos and time-lapses into albums in Autodesk BIM 360, serving as a lifetime backup for TrueLook’s project monitoring.
