Cavignac & Associates

Brittany Aceves joined Cavignac & Associates as the company’s new surety department account manager. In that role, Aceves will manage and maintain surety bond programs on behalf of the agency’s surety clients. Previously, Aceves worked for nearly five years in the surety industry. Cavignac & Associates is a San Diego-based risk management and insurance brokerage firm that specializes in the building industry.

Finley Asphalt and Concrete

Glenn Shapiro was appointed chief operating officer of Finley Asphalt and Concrete. As chief operating officer, Shapiro holds the leadership and management capacity necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational controls in administrative, reporting procedures and people systems. Shapiro also will pursue continued and overall growth of the organization while supporting financial strength and operational efficiency. Shapiro has spent more than 12 years in the paving industry. Finley Asphalt and Concrete has been in business for more than 50 years and is a major commercial contractor of asphalt, concrete and incidental services.

Frampton Construction Company

Justin Lee, Donnie Yavelak and Selby Austin were promoted to new positions with Frampton Construction Company—a regional full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, construction services and sustainability services throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Lee, who joined the team in 2016, was appointed to superintendent of the Charleston, S.C., office; Yavelak, who also joined the team in 2016, was appointed to project manager in the Charleston office; and Austin, who joined the team in 2017, was appointed to assistant project manager in the Charleston office.

Ruppert Landscape

Paul Pestun was promoted to director of business development in the construction division of Ruppert Landscape, a family and employee-owned business that provides commercial landscape construction and management. In the role, Pestun will be responsible for working with the sales team at each landscape construction branch to help unify sales effort across the division and tracking market trends and creating new sales opportunities on a national level. Pestun joined Ruppert Landscape in 2012 with more than 10 years of landscape construction experience.

RUSH Construction

Mike Lapinski was promoted to vice president of RUSH Construction, Inc., and will be responsible for field operations and project delivery. Previously, Lapinski was a senior project manager for the firm. Lapinski is a 10-year veteran of the United States Air Force and has 37 years of construction-related experience in all phases of construction and renovation with an emphasis on government construction and contracting. RUSH Construction, Inc., is a general contractor, construction manager and design/builder.

Stellar

Michael A. Wodrich joins Stellar as senior vice president, general counsel and will serve on the company’s board of directors. In the new role, Wodrich will focus on risk management. Previously, Wodrich was a long-serving member with Jacksonville law firm Rogers Towers. Stellar is a fully integrated firm focused on design, engineering, construction, and mechanical services that serves commercial, industrial, and public sector markets across the United States and around the world.
