Solar Jobs, Coming in Hot

Between October and November of 2021, 303,000 solar-related jobs were posted.

The solar industry is heating up, according to an analysis by PeopleReady’s skilled trades division. Between October and November of 2021, 303,000 solar-related jobs were posted, a 32% increase since the same time period in 2019.

Due to the workforce shortage, solar jobs are remaining unfilled for an average of 31 days, with 227,000 slots from October still unfilled on Dec. 30. Some of the most in-demand positions include solar installers, welders, electricians and construction workers, with a median salary of $48,000.
