Seattle’s Waterfront Park is a transformative 20‑acre redevelopment along Elliott Bay that replaces the old Alaskan Way Viaduct with a vibrant public space. Key features include the new Overlook Walk, a $70-million elevated pathway bridging Pike Place Market and the waterfront with sweeping views, picnic areas, art installations and playgrounds. Pier 58 reopened with marine‑themed play structures including a 25‑foot jellyfish climb, an open lawn and restored historic fountain. The Park Promenade adds native gardens, bike lanes, seating, public art and helps filter stormwater.
