Wesco Welcomes Ralph Elder, VP, Sales, Northeast, US.. Construction

On August 20, Wesco welcomed Ralph Elder as vice president of sales in the Northeast U.S. Construction division. Elder joins this role with a distinguished career spanning over two decades in leadership, strategic growth and operational excellence across multiple industries. Most recently, he served as vice president of sales and marketing at Agr International, where he was recruited to lead the commercial growth strategy following the company’s acquisition by Indicor.

Sunstate Equipment Announces Key Leadership Appointments

On August 27, Sunstate Equipment announced five key leadership moves designed to reshape the company’s regional leadership and sales teams, strengthening Sunstate’s leadership, community relationships and improving sales, operations and customer satisfaction. These strategic appointments follow CEO Norty Turner‘s assumption of his role in January:

Jeremy Banks, a seasoned leader in the national equipment rental industry, has transitioned to Sunstate’s Southwest Region and will take over the regional vice president role.

A new member of the Sunstate team, Jason King has joined the company as the region vice president for the Southeast.

Ryan Moore was promoted to the position of region vice president for the South Central Region.

Another promotion was earned by Daniel Tentrup, who will be the region director of sales and marketing for the South Central Region. Tentrup will be based in Houston.

Jeffery Turley has been promoted to the region director of sales and marketing for the Southwest Region.

Skanska Welcomes Two Industry Veterans to California Leadership Team

On September 2, Skanska made two key additions to its California leadership team: M. Gregory Mantz joins Skanska USA Building Inc.’s San Francisco office as project executive, Aviation Lead; and Michael Strong has been named vice president, project executive.

“Greg and Michael are respected leaders in our industry, and their additions strengthen our ability to deliver the highest quality of projects for our clients,” said Gordon Childress, executive vice president and general manager at Skanska USA Building Inc. in California. “Their established relationships and deep expertise, particularly in aviation and renovation work, will allow us to continue on a trajectory of strategic growth.”

Construction Specialties Welcomes Nick Longman as New Chief Executive Officer

On September 2, Construction Specialties announced the appointment of Nick Longman as chief executive officer. Longman brings extensive industry experience to CS, most recently serving as president of the Architectural Framing Solutions and Architectural Glass divisions of Apogee Enterprises Inc. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong track record of leadership across sales, operations and general management in the building products sector.

Warfel Construction Promotes Mitch Denlinger to Director of Information Technology

On September 4, Warfel Construction announced Mitch Denlinger’s promotion to director of information technology. Since joining Warfel in 2023, Denlinger has played a key role in advancing the company’s use of technology to better support its people and projects.

General Contractor W.E. O’Neil Promotes Todd Guthrie to Chief Operating Officer

On September 16, W.E. O’Neil Construction promoted Todd Guthrie to the role of chief operating officer. Guthrie previously served as regional president for Arizona, Colorado and Tennessee, leading three of O’Neil’s fastest-growing business units. With nearly 40 years of industry experience and 35 years at W.E. O’Neil, he brings deep operational knowledge and a proven track record of leadership to the company’s national operations as the firm celebrates its 100th year of building.

Peckar and Abramson Enhances Washington, D.C. Construction Practice With Addition of Accomplished Litigator

On September 18, Peckar & Abramson announced that Christopher Olsen has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner. Olsen represents contractors, owners and design professionals in high-stakes disputes nationwide. With a proven track record in construction law and litigation, he brings a collaborative, client-centered approach that aligns with P&A’s commitment to delivering results.

Big-D Heavy Industrial Expands Leadership Team to Serve Growing Client Demand in Copper, Mining and Energy

On September 22, Big-D Construction’s Heavy Industrial Group has elevated four seasoned leaders as it continues to scale operations and deliver value to clients across the copper, mining and energy infrastructure sectors nationwide:

Bryan Allinson has been promoted to president of Big-D Heavy Industrial, bringing more than three years of successful leadership within the division. Under his direction, the team has grown its national footprint, built strong industry partnerships, and executed some of the most challenging projects in the industrial space.

David Zimmerman now serves as senior vice president, where he will oversee risk management, contract strategy, safety and project controls. With over 25 years in construction and a legal background, Zimmerman brings a strategic lens to compliance and operational excellence—ensuring client projects are delivered with confidence and precision.

Eugene Welker has been promoted to vice president of operations, bringing more than 35 years of experience managing large-scale industrial construction and maintenance.

Kelly Salvione has been promoted to vice president of business operations. A construction management graduate from Arizona State University, Salvione has over a decade of field and project management experience. She is known for optimizing systems that enhance performance in the field.
