RUPPERT LANDSCAPE APPOINTS BOB JONES AS CHIEF SALES OFFICER
On Oct. 2, Ruppert Landscape announced the appointment of Bob Jones as chief sales officer. In his new role, Jones will oversee business development efforts across the company’s North and South Divisions, driving growth in both landscape installation and maintenance operations. As a key member of the executive team, he will also continue to influence strategy and financial oversight and support Ruppert’s strategic acquisition initiatives.
XYLEM APPOINTS MEREDITH EMMERICH TO LEAD APPLIED WATER SEGMENT
On Oct. 21, Xylem Inc. named Meredith Emmerich senior vice president and president, applied water. Emmerich will join Xylem’s senior leadership team, reporting to the president and chief executive officer, Matthew Pine.
Emmerich succeeds Franz Cerwinka, who will serve as senior advisor until March 2025, to ensure a smooth and orderly transition.
BIG-D COMPANIES ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF MIKE FRATIANNI AS REGIONAL OPERATING OFFICER
On Oct. 16, Big-D Companies announced the addition of Mike Fratianni as its new regional operating officer. With more than 35 years of leadership experience in the construction industry, Fratianni will oversee Big-D Mission Critical and Big-D Lindon offices, focusing on expanding both groups before transitioning into broader operational and strategic initiatives. His extensive experience in leading major construction organizations and delivering projects across various sectors makes him a vital addition to Big-D’s leadership team.
CALEB MARION PROMOTED TO REGIONAL SALES MANAGER OF APOGEE
On Oct. 21, Caleb Marion P.E. was promoted to Northeast regional sales manager of Apogee Enterprises’ Architectural Framing Systems segment, supporting the EFCO and Tubelite brands, and the legacy Wausau Window products.
He replaces and now reports to Jeffrey H. Appel, who was promoted to director of sales. Marion collaborates with the other regional sales managers, local sales representatives and agencies, as well as national accounts, architectural engineering, estimating, project management and customer service teams.
BALFOUR BEATTY U.S. CIVILS OPERATIONS HIRES STEVEN J. REISER AS CHIEF ESTIMATOR IN THE WEST
On Oct. 21, Balfour Beatty U.S. Civils business hired Steven J. Reiser as chief estimator in the West based out of the company’s Long Beach office in California. In his new role, Reiser oversees the estimating of projects within rail, highways and bridges sectors in California as well as work alongside and support Balfour Beatty Civils teammates with estimating processes across the country.
With more than three decades of experience in the heavy civil market sector in California, Reiser has facilitated the planning, execution and completion of several complex public and private projects throughout his career with a focus on safety, quality assurance and maintaining positive client relationships.
BARGE DESIGN SOLUTION ANNOUNCES NEW CEO
On Nov. 12, Barge Design Solutions announced Carrie Stokes, chief of staff, has been appointed chief executive officer, effective March 1, 2025. Barge’s current CEO, Bob Higgins, will be stepping down as of Feb. 28, 2025 and will remain chairman of the board.
Stokes began her career at Barge as an intern and steadily rose through the ranks, holding several leadership positions over the last 28 years. As she steps into the CEO role, her primary focus will be on preparing the staff and the firm for sustained growth by strengthening enterprise systems and expanding leadership development opportunities, while also nurturing innovation and enhancing the employee-owned culture.
JLG EUROPE HIRES NEW LEADERSHIP
On Nov. 12, JLG appointed Rogerio dos Santos as vice president for the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region, replacing Karel Huijser. He will also be responsible for global strategy mergers and acquisitions. Educated in Brazil, dos Santos joined JLG in 2003 following a 10-year career with Case New Holland, having been recruited in 1993 as a design engineer with the company in Brazil.
ARCORO APPOINTS DAVE GRAY AS CEO
On Nov. 13, Arcoro announced that the company’s board of directors has appointed Dave Gray as chief executive officer. Gray, an internet technology industry veteran, most recently served as CEO of Daxko, the leading technology partner for health and fitness centers worldwide. He will assume Arcoro’s day-to-day leadership and join its board of directors.
Gray brings extensive experience building efficient teams with a strong track record of growth and market expansion. He has worked with early stage and growth companies to define effective strategies and successful exit plans. In addition to his tenure at Daxko, he has held senior management positions at CTS, Calico Commerce and Grant Thornton. At Daxko, Gray led the company to record growth, providing software for over 19,000 fitness and wellness centers serving 25 million users across 55 countries.
SPEEDCHAIN INC. APPOINTS PROCORE’S TOOEY COURTEMANCH TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
On Nov. 19, Speedchain announced the appointment of Tooey Courtemanche to its board of directors, effective immediately.
