MCCARTHY BUILDING COMPANIES ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP FOR CENTRAL REGION

On Feb. 5, McCarthy Building Companies Inc. announced a new leadership team for its Central Region, positioning a team of internal executive promotions to guide the company’s continued growth and success across 28 states. The new leadership team will play a pivotal role in advancing McCarthy’s commitment to innovative construction practices such as offsite prefabrication, self-perform capabilities and collaborative project delivery methods.

The appointments of Ryan Sawall as regional CEO, Chris Anvik as regional president, Doug Mangers as regional chief operating officer, and Josh Gaghen as St. Louis business unit leader reflect McCarthy’s dedication to promoting from within, empowering its 100% employee-owned workforce. This approach fosters strong ownership, loyalty and a deep commitment to client success, with employees not only driving the company’s operations but also playing a central role in shaping its future.

In addition, after a decade leading McCarthy’s Central Region as president then CEO, John Buescher has assumed a new role within the company, serving as a senior level advisor for McCarthy. In this role he will work company-wide, contributing to various cross-regional and corporate initiatives, including growing and enhancing the self-perform electrical group, and exploring the development of a comprehensive national integrated warehouse strategy.

SKANKSA USA BUILDING’S JIMMY MITCHELL RETURNS TO CHAIR BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ATLANT’S LIFECYCLE BUILDING CENTER

On Feb. 6, Skanska, a founding member and supporter of the Lifecycle Building Center of Greater Atlanta, announced Jimmy Mitchell, its Atlanta-based sustainability manager, as board chair of the material reuse nonprofit. Mitchell, who helped establish LBC in 2011 and previously served as board chair from 2012-2015, brings his extensive sustainable construction expertise and commitment to this role.

GILBANE DEVELOPMENT COMPANY NAMES JAMES PATCHETT AS NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO

On Feb. 6, Gilbane Development Company Inc. announced the appointment of James Patchett as its new president and chief executive officer. He will succeed Edward Broderick who was recently appointed chief executive officer of Gilbane and served as president of Gilbane Development since January 2014.

WARFEL CONSTRUCTION WELCOMES GARRET BRABUSH AS DIRECTOR OF PEOPLE ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT

On Feb. 11, Warfel Construction is excited to announce Garret Barbush as its new director of people engagement and support. This strategic hire aligns with the company’s continued focus on nurturing a dynamic and supportive company culture. With 15 years of experience in leadership, business development and relationship-building, Barbush will be key in fostering employee well-being and enhancing the Warfel experience for its growing team.

WOOLPERT WELCOMES NATIONAL SECURITY MARKET DIRECTOR JOSEPH PALERMO

On Feb. 10, Woolpert has hired National Security Market Director Joseph Palermo to advance geospatial projects for federal agency, national defense, intelligence and national security clients. Palermo will equip U.S. federal clients with geospatial knowledge and capabilities to support their initiatives.

WARFEL ANNOUNCES ALAN HOLETON AS GENERAL MANAGER, PAOLI

On Feb. 18, Warfel Construction was pleased to announce the promotion of Alan Holeton to the role of general manager, Paoli. Holeton’s journey with Warfel has been one of continuous growth and dedication, underscoring the company’s commitment to cultivating talent and fostering an environment where people come first.

BRG ADDS GRANT MENDELJIAN AS DIRECTOR IN CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE

On Feb. 18 BRG announced the recent addition of Grant Mendeljian as a director in its construction practice. He has been involved in over $3 billion of constructed projects across his more than 25-year career. He will provide expertise to project owners, developers, contractors, designers, municipalities and their counsel on matters including strategic planning, estimating, procurement, onsite operational execution, project auditing and construction disputes.
