Facility Solutions Group Names Jason Zipprian Chief Executive Officer
On March 27, Facility Solutions Group announced the appointment of Jason Zipprian as its next chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Zipprian, a 30-year FSG veteran, began his career with the company as an apprentice electrician. Over three decades, he advanced through field operations, sales, project management, regional leadership and executive leadership, building a reputation as both a strong business operator and a committed people developer. He most recently served as chief operating officer of FSG’s Construction division.
The appointment follows a deliberate succession process led by FSG’s board of directors, who determined that the company’s next leader needed to be someone who not only understood FSG’s business, but who had also lived its mission from the inside.
Skanska USA Building Announces General Counsel Transition
On March 30, Skanska announced a leadership transition in its U.S. building operations. Brian Best, general counsel of Skanska USA Building, will retire effective April 10, 2026. Stefani Bonato will transition into the role of senior vice president—general counsel, effective March 30, 2026. Stefani will serve as the business unit’s primary internal legal advisor, overseeing its Legal, Ethics & Compliance and Insurance & Bonding functions.
Balfour Beatty Promotes Aviation Expert Trent Johnson to Vice President in the Carolinas
On March 31, Balfour Beatty promoted Trent Johnson to vice president of operations in the Carolinas. In his new role, Johnson will lead and grow the company’s local aviation sector across North and South Carolina, building on his track record as a trusted leader and client partner on complex aviation programs. He brings 19 years of experience in the construction industry, including more than 12 and a half years with Balfour Beatty. During his tenure with the company, he has contributed to the successful delivery of 22 aviation projects, ranging from targeted renovations to complex, multi-phase programs. His experience and leadership have been instrumental in strengthening Balfour Beatty’s aviation presence in North Carolina, particularly through his work at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Albert J. Ellis Airport in Onslow County.
Sims Crane & Equipment Announces Promotion of Three Senior Leaders to Executive Roles
On April 1, Sims Crane & Equipment Co. announced the promotion of three senior leaders to executive roles.
Derek Sather has been appointed chief risk officer; Curtis Taylor has been appointed chief business operations officer; and Mike Kuffermann has been appointed chief sales officer.
As CRO, Sather will lead enterprise risk management, compliance programs, insurance strategy, contractual oversight and Sims University. With more than 30 years of experience in crane, rigging and specialized transportation, Sather is widely recognized as an industry authority. His extensive certifications and leadership roles with NCCCO and ASME committees position him as a key driver of safety culture and operational standards across the organization.
Taylor, now serving as CBOO, will oversee enterprise analytics, reporting and data driven transformation initiatives across operations, billing and customer engagement. With a background in ERP consulting and deep expertise in IFS Applications and IFS Cloud, Taylor brings a systems driven approach to aligning data strategy with operational performance and financial outcomes.
Kuffermann has been promoted to CSO, where he will lead Sims’ sales strategy and growth initiatives. A second generation member of the Sims team with more than 17 years of experience, Kuffermann began his career as an apprentice and has advanced through multiple roles across the organization. His leadership reflects Sims’ commitment to developing people and building strong customer relationships
PROCON Leadership Appointed to Key New Hampshire Boards
On April 1, PROCON announced that several members of its leadership team have been appointed to prominent boards across New Hampshire.
Erik Anderson, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, has been appointed to the board of directors of AIA New Hampshire, the state chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The organization advocates for the value of architecture and supports architects through education, public outreach, and professional development. Anderson’s leadership will help advance design excellence and sustainable building practices across the region.
Ben Saturley, senior vice president of field operations, has joined the board of directors of Bring Back the Trades, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting careers in the skilled trades, empowering the next generation of skilled tradespeople and addressing workforce shortages.
