In a recent Kabbage, Inc. poll of 600 U.S. companies, 39 percent of construction and landscaping business owners said they started out with less than $5,000—making it one of the three industries requiring the least startup capital. And almost all (94 percent) launched their construction company with less than $50,000.
By comparison, 58 percent of small businesses polled across industries started with less than $25,000 and one-third started with less than $5,000.
