Meta Platforms Inc. and Associated Builders and Contractors have launched America’s Workforce Academy, a $115-million initiative designed to train thousands of construction workers for the nation’s rapidly growing data center market. The program will debut at ABC training centers in Indiana, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas.

Participants who qualify receive scholarships, travel, housing and living stipends before completing career-readiness and safety instruction followed by five weeks of hands-on craft training. Graduates are guaranteed a job offer with contractors working on Meta projects.

“The sustained demand for data center construction technicians means the industry needs an all-of-the-above approach to address this shortage,” said ABC President and CEO Michael Bellaman.

Meta President and Vice Chairman Dina Powell McCormick called the initiative an opportunity to prepare a new generation of skilled workers to build the infrastructure supporting America’s AI future.

The partnership aims to create a scalable workforce pipeline while accelerating entry into construction careers for high school graduates, veterans and other job seekers.
