The 2018 International Green Construction Code is now available to help cities, states and countries build stronger, smarter, sustainably and more resiliently through a whole systems approach to the design, construction and operation of buildings.
Developed collaboratively by the International Code Council, ASHRAE, the U.S. Green Building Council and the Illuminating Engineering Society, the IgCC also includes cost-effective measures that result in lower operating costs, better indoor environments, a reduced impact on natural resources, and improved neighborhood connections and walkability.
The code correlates with the International Energy Conservation Code, ASHRAE Standard 90.1 and many other referenced standards so governments can streamline code development and adoption and promote uniformity among adopting jurisdictions.
