Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
The Bozzuto Group
Tom Bozzuto, chairman and co-founder of The Bozzuto Group, was inducted to Multifamily Executive Magazine’s Hall of Fame for his industry achievements, visionary leadership and civic responsibility. The Hall of Fame honors executives at the top of their field whose efforts and vision have transformed multifamily development, management, building and construction. The Bozzuto Group is a real estate company that has developed, acquired and built more than 42,000 homes and apartments.
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings
E. Mabry Rogers, a partner in the Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP’s Birmingham office, was named president of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) for 2019. David K. Taylor, a partner with Bradley Nashville, was awarded with CLSA’s 2018 Community Service Award. Bradley Arant Boult Cummings also received CLSA’s 2018 Law Firm Award.
Cavignac & Associates
Fauntelle Carrillo joined Cavignac & Associates as an account executive in the firm’s Personal Lines Department. Paul Broussard joined the company as an account executive. Cavignac & Associates is a risk management and commercial insurance brokerage firm specializing in the real estate, design and construction industries.
Frampton Construction Company
Beck Small joined Frampton Construction Company, LLC, as superintendent in the firm’s Charlotte, N.C., office. Frampton Construction Company is a regional full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, construction services and sustainability services throughout the Carolinas.
McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
Preston Hodges was promoted to vice president of the Houston division of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.’s Southern region. Hodges will lead business development and client service efforts. McCarthy Building Companies is a more than 150-year old privately held national construction company.
Mowery
Joe Grignano joined Mowery as director of special projects and oversees and grows the company’s smaller, short-duration projects and tenant fit-out services. Derek Dilks was named director of real estate and is responsible for new business development and nurturing existing client relationships. Mowery provides general construction, construction management and design/build services for major industrial, commercial and institutional projects.
Skanska USA
Dale Kopnitsky was named executive vice president and general manager for the greater Washington, D.C., metro area for Skanska USA. Kopnitsky previously was Skanska’s vice president of preconstruction services. Skanska is a construction and development company serving clients in sectors including transportation, power, industrial, water/wastewater, health care and more.
Zurich North America
Karen Reutter was named head of construction for Zurich North America, a leading multi-line insurer that serves customers in global and local markets. Reutter recently led the construction practice of a major insurance broker and worked in Zurich’s construction business from 1999 to 2001.
