Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
American Contracting & Environmental
Russ Chunn and J.R. Speigle were promoted to general superintendent of American Contracting & Environmental Services (ACE). Chunn and Speigle are the first ACE superintendents to be promoted to general superintendent. ACE is a top 150 Environmental Contractor based in Columbia, MD, specializing in the rehabilitation and construction of water infrastructure projects in the Mid-Atlantic.
Associated Builders and Contractors
Following are new hires and employment moves in Associated Builders and Contractors. Bill Caldwell is interim chapter president of the Carolinas Chapter. John Smaligo is chapter president of the Oklahoma Chapter, Lisa Swinto is regional director of the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter and Anna Postiglione is government affairs manager of the Heart of America Chapter.
Benchmark Construction Company
Walt Taylor was promoted to director of estimating and William Lastinger was promoted to general superintendent of Benchmark Construction Company. Taylor also serves as market executive for Benchmark’s commercial/specialty group and Lastinger previously was a project superintendent. Brownstown, Pa.-based Benchmark Construction Company is a commercial construction contractor serving the health care, senior living, higher education and commercial specialty markets.
Frampton Construction Company
Brandon Denney joined Frampton Construction Company, LLC, as assistant preconstruction manager and Hailey S. Gilbert joined the team as administrative assistant in the firm’s Charleston office. Frampton Construction Company is a regional full-service construction firm that provides planning and design support, preconstruction, construction services and sustainability services throughout the Carolinas.
Ryan Companies
Pat Ryan, president and chief executive officer of Ryan Companies US, Inc., will step down from his current position June 1. Brian Murray will be named CEO, owner Jeff Smith will become president and owner Mike McElroy will become chief investment officer. Tim Gray will become chairman emeritus of the company’s board of directors. Ryan Companies offers comprehensive commercial real estate services as a national developer, architect, capital investment consultant, builder and real estate manager, focusing on the retail, industrial, health care and senior living markets.
Skiles Group
Keyan Zandy was promoted to chief operating officer and Michael Blakemore joined the firm as senior vice president of Skiles Group, a Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas-based construction firm that focuses on Lean construction in the Southwest’s health care, education and faith-based markets.
