Associated Builders and Contractors

Ami Steinmetz joined ABC’s Western Pennsylvania Chapter as director of education and workforce development. Allison Jackson was named training and marketing coordinator of ABC’s Massachusetts Chapter. Brianna Hume joined ABC’s Pacific Northwest Chapter as safety and education coordinator. Kylie Lewis was named operations coordinator of ABC’s San Diego Chapter.

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP

Tripp Haston and E. Mabry Rogers, partners in Bradley Arant Boult Cummings’ Birmingham office, were recognized in the 2019 edition of Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders. Haston is listed in the Global Elite publication for life sciences and product liability defence and Rogers is listed in the Construction publication. Bradley combines skilled legal counsel with exceptional client service and unwavering integrity to assist corporate and individual clients in achieving their business goals.

CarolinaPower

Madison Younginer joined CarolinaPower as account manager in its business development team. CarolinaPower is an employee owned electrical contractor that specializes in the industrial, commercial, health care and federal markets

Chaney Enterprises

Amie Long was promoted to human resources director of Chaney Enterprises, a ready-mix concrete, aggregates, custom blends and related construction supplies provider. Long will manage all functions of the human resources department including safety, benefits, training, recruiting, staffing and wellness.

DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc.

David Dupré was named vice president of field operations; Patrick Descant was named vice president of preconstruction services; Bryan Hodnett was named director of business development; Matthew Weeks was named superintendent; and Lauren Laudun was named business development coordinator of DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc. DonahueFavret Contractors specializes in health care, hospitality, retail, and commercial construction and renovation.

Fortney & Weygandt

Mitch Lapin has been named president of Fortney & Weygandt, Inc., a firm that specializes in general contracting services and multi-site rollout programs for restaurants, retailers, hotels, senior living facilities and commercial projects nationwide. Lapin will be responsible for continuing to drive the growth of Fortney & Weygandt, Inc.’s general contracting service nationwide.

JLG Industries, Inc.

Wade Jones was named general manager of North America parts for JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corporation company and global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telehandlers. In addition, Ken Ferguson was named general manager of North America service and used equipment; Willie van Ryneveld was named director of customer care for the Europe-Middle East-Africa-India-Russia region; and David Wei was named associate director of aftermarket for JLG’s Asia-Pacific operations.

McCarthy Building Companies

Mike Benford was appointed director of business development for McCarthy Building Companies’ Southern region, and he will focus on aviation, parking structures, site civil, transportation and general commercial. McCarthy Building Companies is the oldest privately held national construction company in the country.

Moss Construction

Toby Manulak, a Florida Certified Contractor and LEED Accredited Professional B+CD, was promoted to vice president of Moss Construction’s Tampa office. Moss Construction is a national privately held construction firm that focuses on construction management at-risk, design-build and public-private partnerships.

National Association of Electrical Contractors

T. David Long has been appointed chief executive officer of the National Association of Electrical Contractors, a trade association in the United States that represents the $130 billion/year electrical contracting industry. Long brings more than 40 years’ experience in electrical contracting.

NCCER

Andy Dupuy was elected 2019 chairman of NCCER’s board of trustees. Dupuy is president and CEO of Brown & Root. Michael Bennett, vice president of Cianbro Companies, will serve as the 2019 vice chairman. Other members include Stephen Toups, president of Turner Industries, as secretary and Vincent Giardina, trustee for the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust, as treasurer. NCCER develops standardized curriculum with portable credentials and to help address the skilled, construction workforce shortage.

Raken

Amanda Patterson, who has 18 years of experience in leadership and communications, was named Raken’s first vice president of marketing. Raken provides innovative mobile technology to streamline field workflows for construction workers.

Skanska USA

Nick Bishop was promoted to vice president of environmental, health and safety of Skanska USA’s Southeast civil operations. Skanska USA is a leading construction and development firm that focuses on the transportation, power, industrial, water/wastewater, health care, education, sports, data centers, government, aviation, life sciences and commercial markets.

S/L/A/M Construction Services

Eugene “Gene” Torone, DBIA, was appointed chair of Connecticut Associated Builders and Contractors’ (http://www.ctabc.org/) Board of Directors. He will serve a one-year term. Torone is president of S/L/A/M Construction Services, a full-service construction management company specializing in owner’s representative, pre-construction, construction management and design-build services.
