Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
ASAE
Tia Perry, director of business development and partnerships for Associated Builders and Contractors, was selected as a 2020-2022 scholar for the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Diversity and Inclusion Committee. DELP provides individuals from underrepresented segments of the association community the opportunity to enhance their careers in the profession and, ultimately, advance into the ranks of leadership.
CTS Cement Manufacturing Corporation
Edward K. Rice, founder and honorary chairman of CTS Cement Manufacturing Corporation, died recently in his Los Angeles home. CTS Cement Manufacturing Corporation manufactures cement for concrete repairs, restoration and new construction projects. Our condolences to the company and Rice’s family.
NASBP
Mark Munekawa, senior vice president-surety of San Francisco-based Woodruff-Sawyer & Co., was elected president of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP) for the 2020-2021 year. Click here for a full list of NASBP’s newly elected leadership members.
PWCampbell
Carlin Campbell, Erin Campbell and Amanda Campbell Caliendo transitioned from vice presidents to principals of PWCampbell, marking the shift to fourth-generation ownership and leadership. Carlin Campbell is also chief operating officer. In addition, James Caliendo transitioned from president and chief operating officer to president and chief executive officer. PWCampbell is a family-owned and operated general construction company.
Spancrete
Scott Bertschinger was promoted to executive vice president, Kimberly Wacker was promoted to senior vice president and Todd Backus was promoted to senior vice president/CFO of Spancrete, a leader in precast/prestressed concrete building solutions and machinery. The promotions are an effort by Spancrete to restructure its executive leadership team and position the organization for future growth in the construction industry.
Telgian Engineering & Consulting
Jeremiah Crocker was named vice president of business development by Telgian Engineering & Consulting (TEC). Crocker will be responsible for business development and sales, with a focus on fire, life safety and security technologies, requirements, and trends. TEC is a full-service global engineering and risk mitigation consulting firm specializing in complex, multi-discipline public and private sector projects.
UMA Geotechnical Construction
Brian DeSpain was promoted to president of UMA Geotechnical Construction. Former president Jim DeSpain is now CEO. UMA Geotechnical Construction is an industry leader in the development and refinement of innovative polymer grouting techniques.
