Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
Associated Builders and Contractors
Kamita Marbury joined the ABC Metro Washington Chapter as director of workforce development. Clay Crownover was named president of ABC’s Greater Tennessee Chapter. Jeb Bruneau joined ABC’s New Orleans/Bayou Chapter as president.
Finch, Thornton & Baird, LLP
Thomas E. Diamond and Cory P. DiBene were named associate attorneys for Finch, Thornton & Baird, LLP, a construction industry law firm. Diamond practices in areas of construction law including claims and disputes, collections and general business and commercial litigation. DiBene practices in the areas of construction law including contractor and subcontractor disputes, federal procurement and claims, and commercial real estate.
Hensel Phelps
Michael J. Choutka was appointed president and chief executive officer of Hensel Phelps, following the retirement of Jeff Wenass. Previously, Choutka served as the company’s president and chief operating officer. Hensel Phelps specializes in building development, construction and facility services.
San Juan Construction
John Theiss was named president and chief executive officer of San Juan Construction, a global construction and logistics company providing building services for the U.S. Department of Defense. The company specializes in large, government construction projects for the U.S. Navy and Air Force in remote, logistically challenging locations in the Pacific and Indian oceans.
Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP
Eugene Polyak and Joseph Young were elected to partners of Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP, a construction and government contract law firm. Polyak focuses on complex commercial litigation with a concentration on construction and real estate investment industry. Young focuses exclusively on the construction industry, representing general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals, sureties and owners.
TDIndustries
Sheri Tillman was promoted from corporate counsel to general counsel of TDIndustries, which provides a comprehensive approach to mechanical construction, operations and maintenance. Tillman will provide legal advice and serve as a primary liaison with external legal counsel, and she will continue to manage the legal/contracts department.
