Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
American Subcontractors Association
Brian Cooper of Phoenix-based AROK was elected to serve as the American Subcontractors Association’s (ASA) 2020-21 president, succeeding Anthony Brooks of Platinum Drywall. In addition, Brian Carroll of Sanderford & Carroll, PC, was elected as vice president and Rusty Plowman of Delta Drywall was elected as secretary/treasurer. All will serve from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The American Subcontractors Association is a national trade organization representing construction subcontractors, specialty trade contractors and suppliers.
Ruppert Landscape
Mike Felts was promoted to vice president of human resources and information technology; Courtney Pohlit was promoted to director of people and recruiting; Jim Tuzzolino was promoted to division regional vice president; and Pete Friz was named head of strategic initiatives for Ruppert Landscape, a provider of commercial landscape construction and management services. In addition, Mike Ryan was promoted to branch manager, Brad Matthews was promoted operations manager and Anne Kawecki was named business development manager of the firm’s Virginia landscape construction branch.
Stevens Construction
Michael Waskiewicz was promoted to division manager of Stevens Construction. Previously, he served as project manager, successfully completing a diverse portfolio of health care and commercial projects. Stevens Construction specializes in providing construction management, general contracting, and consulting services to clients and design professionals.
Ware Malcomb
Mary Grbic Cheval was promoted to principal, interior architecture and design in Ware Malcomb’s Irvine, California-based headquarters office. In addition, Erica Godun was promoted to director, regional operations of the firm’s Northeast region and Jim Stanard was promoted to studio manager, architecture for the firm’s Irvine and Inland Empire offices. Ware Malcomb is an international design firm.
