Which industries have the most job openings? This was the question Grand Canyon University sought to answer in its analysis of 2021 LinkedIn data.
The survey concluded:
- Hospital and health care is hiring more than any other industry (1.8 million postings).
- Financial services has the second-highest number of postings (at 1.1 million).
- For every state except Alabama, D.C., Virginia and Wyoming, health care is the top hiring industry. Top industries for these outliers included retail, information and technology services and construction.
