Apps

With lienwaivers.io integration with Procore, project managers and construction accountants using Procore Construction Financials or other accounting software can create lien waivers directly from requisitions entered into Procore, send and track liens electronically, and view signed lien waivers alongside other project documents in Procore.

A.O. Smith commercial hot water systems with iCOMM Connectivity Platform connects iCOMM enabled water heaters to the A. O. Smith mobile app. The Cyclone® MXi models come with onboard Wi-Fi for remotely connecting and interacting with Cyclone water heaters. Users can interact with one or multiple heaters on the app, adjusting temperature and differential, viewing status and fault history and setting custom alerts.

Products

Bosch GWS18V-45PSC 18V EC Brushless Connected 4-1/2 in. Angle Grinder’s large screen changes color to indicate operating status: green - operational; yellow - issue with grinder; red - grinder offline; and blue - grinder connected to a mobile device. There’s a free Bosch Toolbox app and the grinder’s interface works with the Bosch GCY30-4 Bluetooth® connectivity module.

Sonim XP8 Android phone is designed for military or emergency workers, but is at home on the jobsite. The phone is rated to MIL-STD-810G standards for dust, shock, rain and temperature; IP68 for water submersion and IP69K for direct water spray. The phone can be used with gloves and wet fingers and has physical buttons for home, back and multitasking.

Bluvision's BEEKs BLE Beacon Badge integrates with HID Global's access control cards and Bluzone Mustering so first responders, building owners and company management know instantly how many workers and visitors are present in the designated mustering points and how many remain in the evacuation area. BEEKs Beacon Badges can be integrated with HID Global's access control solutions for secure access into buildings.

Software & In the Cloud

Vectorworks reality capture feature, Photos to 3D Model, web view Virtual Reality (VR) and Cloud Services and Bluebeam Studio Integration are available with the latest update to Vectorworks Cloud Services in addition to the third Service Pack (SP3) for the Vectorworks 2018 product line.

Partnerships & Acquisitions

Payroll4Construction.com and Foundation Software are Corporate Alliance Partners with Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE). The partnerships enable sharing of markets, experiences and business prospects to overcome challenges confronting corporations in today's marketplace as it relates to expanding the growth of Women Business Enterprises.

Trimble’s partnership with ADAPT, provider of post-tensioned and reinforced concrete software, allows engineers to design steel and concrete for lateral and gravity loads in TSD and export the model geometry and loading to ADAPT-Floor Pro for post-tensioned slab design. Through a direct integration between Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) and ADAPT-Floor Pro, Trimble provides structural engineers with a streamlined solution for post-tensioned concrete design.

Applied Software®, systems integrator for the AEC and manufacturing industries, has partnered with ManufactOn, provider of a collaborative, cloud and mobile solutions for prefab production and supply chain management. The platform optimizes the prefabrication process, from detailing, fabrication and QA through storage and delivery to the jobsite. ManufactOn can be used with Applied Software’s eVolve™ solution, a Revit add-on for electrical prefabrication workflows, for supply chain management functionality.

Legrand, specialist in electrical and digital building, announced partnerships and technology initiatives to advance IoT for residential and commercial applications. Strategic partnerships include Amazon, Cisco, Ivani, Samsung and Marriott. Technology initiatives include working with Marriott and Samsung on an IoT-powered hotel room. Legrand’s developer program, “Works with Legrand,” helps existing and potential partners to develop interoperable solutions to create a broader ecosystem of smart devices. The program is open to start-ups, manufacturers and service providers.

Viewpoint has acquired Keystyle Data Solutions, developer of browser interfaces that extend the value of Viewpoint construction management. Keystyle’s HR portal enables employee benefit and time management; applicant tracking and onboarding; project financial solutions for invoice and billing review and approval; and solutions for field purchase orders, crew time entry and equipment time and progress reports. Viewpoint will integrate Keystyle solutions into ERP products, Viewpoint Team™ and Viewpoint Field products.

Catalyst, seller and service provider for Oracle Primavera and Asta Powerproject, has joined forces with the cloud hosting LoadSpringto offer hosted P6 and Powerproject on the cloud.

Triax Technologies, provider of technology for the connected jobsite, is collaborating with Oracle Construction and Engineering on a unified platform for construction professionals that integrates data from Triax’s flagship Spot-r system with the Oracle Prime Projects Cloud Service project management platform.
