Five years and $1.5 billion in the making, Kansas City International Airport’s new terminal replaces several terminal buildings with a single, 1.1-million-square-foot, two-level facility. The LEED Gold–certified project was built by a joint venture team led by Clark Construction Group and including The Weitz Company and Clarkson Construction Company, and is the largest single infrastructure project in Kansas City history.
